One of our new build properties constructed in 2016. Greenacres was designed to be a traditional family home set in the English countryside. Over looking fields and trees we wanted to incorporate that into our design with a feature full height Douglas fir glazed atrium at the front and back.
Kitchen, Dining, Family Room
We designed this area to be an long rectangular open plan space with the kitchen at the front, dining table in the middle and a seating area at the back over looking the garden and countryside views beyond. With rich oak flooring and beams we tried to bring in elements of the outside in and create a warm homely feel. A traditional style kitchen painted in a soft grey fitted in perfectly with the traditional style.

Living Room
To create a slightly more formal space we opted for symmetrical seating with the fireplace central to the room as the focal point.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The principal bedroom in this property was designed to have the ‘wow’ factor with vaulted ceilings, oak feature beams and full width glazing overlooking fields at the back. The ensuite followed in suit with a feature walk in shower, freestanding bath against a stone feature wall and a traditional double basin vanity unit also painted in a soft grey.

Exterior
Greenacres was designed to sit comfortably in the plot so designed it to have rooms in the roof space so it was not too high and felt anchored in it’s surroundings. We made a multi level patio and decked area, perfect for entertaining and alfresco dining, with idyllic views over the countryside.
